Hi friends, it's your host, Jacqueline Baird, and I am so excited to announce season four of the motherhood intended podcast premiering on September 5th. If you're new here, welcome to the show. If you've been an avid listener since the beginning, thanks for sticking with me on this ride.

I've spent the last decade navigating things like infertility, loss, IVF, the NICU, surrogacy, anxiety, depression, and so much more. I am now a proud mom of three amazing little miracles, ages 6, 4 and a half, and 4 months, all with their own conception and birth stories, of course but the journey of growing our family was definitely not what my husband and I ever expected the start of parenthood to look like.

Have you always wanted to be a mom? Maybe the weight of the world has you second guessing motherhood. Or maybe you already have kids, but the path to parenthood has been long and winding. The truth is, the journey to motherhood doesn't always go as planned.

And spoiler alert, neither does parenting once you get there.  I am here and ready to ignite conversations surrounding fertility and motherhood that get buried beneath the highlight reels we all scroll on social media. Are you ready?

If you're new to the show, the Motherhood Intended podcast has a simple mission. It's to create a safe space to chat about everything women really want to know about trying to conceive, infertility, family planning, being a mom, taking care of your mental health, and more. I'm here to help you feel a sense of control on a journey that is often out of our hands.

This show is here to empower you with the knowledge you deserve to feel confident in creating your family, all while finding beauty and purpose in every step of the way. It may sound cliche, but if they say that knowledge is power, then connection is the heart and soul of it all. And that's what the motherhood intended podcast and community will be for you.

I'm here to tell you that you do not have to wait for all the pieces to align to go after the life you've imagined. You don't have to suffer in silence when things don't go as planned, and you definitely do not have to live up to unrealistic mom life expectations.

There are so many ways to become a mom and so many ways to parent once you're blessed with that title, regardless of what you find yourself navigating with this podcast, you don't have to figure it all out alone.

On Motherhood Intended, you'll be hearing from myself and other women as we talk about the different experiences we've had surrounding infertility and motherhood. You'll also hear from experts in the fields of women's health, fertility and family planning, and I'll interview brave women who want their unique stories to be heard.

We'll talk about the difficult choices we've made, the miraculous moments we've experienced, what we've learned, and how we keep going on this beautiful and ever changing journey as mom.  In some episodes, we'll cover topics like hormones, managing stress, and Adoption or even surrogacy. And other weeks, we'll discuss things like parenting hacks, flexible work and managing screen time with your kids.

Here on the podcast, we're diving into all things that encompass motherhood, the good, the bad, and the unexpected, and most importantly, the parts of parenting you won't find on a highlight reel.

In the midst of it all. I'm here to share my own personal experiences with you. If you haven't yet, go back and listen to the very first few episodes from season one.

At the launch of this podcast, I shared my very vulnerable fertility story, which will fill you in on all the details of how our family started. After years of trials and tribulations, we became a family of four, having two sons thanks to IVF and medical interventions. But we also had to say hello and goodbye to three angels who were born too soon.

Throughout Season 2 and 3 of this show, I take listeners along with us as we embarked on a path of surrogacy to grow our family using our remaining frozen embryos.

At the end of last season, I was very grateful to announce the healthy full term birth of our daughter thanks to our amazing gestational carrier. This season, I'm excited to bring you along as we dive back into life with a baby as a now family of five.  Starting on September 5th, I will be connecting with you regularly once a week with new episodes dropping on Thursdays.

With so many amazing guest interviews and life events to share with you all, you can also probably expect some bonus episodes to be thrown in the mix along the way.  So be sure to follow the show wherever you listen to your podcasts. That way, Motherhood Intended will be in your queue, ready to entertain, educate, and support you, and you'll never miss a new episode.  Want in on the fun now before season four premieres? Join me in the Motherhood Intended community group on Facebook. There you can connect with other like minded women,  have a safe space to share and ask any motherhood questions you might have. We've even started some breakout chats on some topics for a more intimate connection with other members. One of the chats, for example, is for anyone going through fertility treatments like IUIs, IVF, and it's proven to be a great space to ask questions and support each other along the way.

So click the link in the show notes and join our community today.  And to follow along with my daily life and updates on new podcast episodes, you can find me on Instagram, of course, at motherhood underscore intended. And if you or someone you know is interested in joining me on the podcast to share a personal experience or talk on a specific topic, there is a link in the show notes to apply to be a guest on the show. I'd love to hear from you. Last, but definitely not least, I want you to know this, I am here for you. Everyone has their own story, and by stepping out of our comfort zones and opening up about our experiences that go beyond the highlights we all share, it allows us to fully support each other in motherhood. You never know who might benefit from hearing your story, your struggle, or your success, which is why I started this podcast almost two years ago.

If you have enjoyed listening to the show over the last couple years, or if you've just found this Season 4 trailer and are excited to dive in, I'd love it if you could leave a review for Motherhood Intended. This will not only get more eyes on the podcast, but it will help others find the show and know what to expect. I cannot wait to connect with you and be a part of your life again each week with Season 4 of the Motherhood Intended podcast. Stay tuned.
